KIOS presents research findings at QGIS User Conference in Sweden

The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence participated in the QGIS User Conference 2025, held on 2–4 June 2025 in Sweden, with its team delivering two key presentations.

The research team, consisting of Marios Kyriakou, Software Engineer II and Andreas Georgiou, Research Engineer II, presented findings on:

  • The use of the open-source software QGIS by KIOS to develop Digital Twins for critical infrastructures, enhancing monitoring and supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • The integration of open-source components to streamline mobility data collection, analysis, management, and dissemination through a user-friendly, GIS-based platform that supports data-driven transport planning and decision-making.
