Flights between Cyprus and Israel airports canceled, flights diverted from Europe and America

Flights between Israel and Larnaca and Paphos airports have been canceled, while flights from Europe and America have been diverted to Cyprus following developments in the region concerning Israel's attack against targets in Iran during the night.

Hermes Airports, the management company of Cyprus' airports, reports that following Israel's attack on Iran, flights to and from Israel, to and from the airports in Larnaca and Paphos have been canceled.

A fairly large number of diverted flights from Europe and America were also diverted to land at both airports.

The aircraft passengers disembarked, with most remaining within the airports, although some were transferred to hotels.

According to the same information, the airport management company managed to satisfy all requests for flight diversions, while for better management of this specific situation, the Crisis Center at Larnaka Airport has been activated.

It is noted that other flights to and from both airports in Cyprus continue as normal.
