Pure new credit increases to €253.8m in September

Pure new loans in September 2023 increased to €253.8m compared to €207m in August, according to data by the Central Bank of Cyprus.

Total new loans, including renegotiations recorded an increase to €578.0m in September, from €525.7m the previous month.

Total new loans for consumption increased to €24.5m (from €20.3m), while total new loans for house purchase recorded an increase to €172.6m, compared with €154.9m in August.

Total new loans to non-financial corporations for amounts up to €1m increased to €83.5m in September, compared with €68.6m the previous month.

Total new loans to non-financial corporations for amounts over €1m registered an increase to €278.7m, from €270.9m in August.
