Cyprus is preparing to host the biggest sporting event in its history, the third group of FIBA EuroBasket 2025 in Limassol, between 28 August and 4 September, 2025.
Big name athletes and leading national teams of European basketball, including Greece, will compete on the island, while it is anticipated that the matches will be attended by 70,000-80,000 fans.
The 15 games of the third group of FIBA EuroBasket 2025 that will be held in Limassol, will take place at the Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Centre also known as the Palais des sports, which is located in Polemidia, on the Limassol-Troodos road.
In this context, the Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Centre is in the process of being renovated, upgraded and expanded so that it will be ready in August 2025.
